In the early hours of Saturday, August 9, a Washington State Patrol lieutenant exited onto 156 th Street from eastbound Interstate 90 in Bellevue and observed a 2001 Honda Accord driving erratically. At the time, the lieutenant was driving a 36-foot motorhome used as a mobile DUI processing center.

There were no other patrol units in the area, so the lieutenant turned on the motorhome's emergency lights and pulled over the driver of the Accord for suspicion of DUI. The lieutenant arrested the driver for suspected intoxicated driving and transported him to Overlake Hospital to have his blood drawn.

Toxicology results are still pending, but police reported that the 28-year-old man had various types of prescription pills in his possession when he was stopped. The man was booked into the King County jail.
