As a Lynnwood DUI Attorney, I do my best to stay on top of changes in the law of DUI. It's imperative that we know what the changing laws and standards are. And the Washington Legislature has changed things yet again. There is a new bill on Governor Gregoire's desk waiting to be signed.

This bill will make some significant changes to DUI Law. But the major ones are highlighted here for you.

1) Ignition Interlock Devices (if possible) will now need to have a camera installed so there is proof that it's you blowing into it.

2) DUI's amended to Reckless Driving will now get the benefits of day-for-day credit for their license suspensions.

3) DUI's amended to Reckless Driving will now be eligible for the Ignition Interlock License, if needed.

4) DUI's amended to non-DUI offenses will NOT be able to be vacated if any new alcohol violations are reported.

Some fairly big changes - some difficult, but some quite good for our clients.

If you have been charged with a DUI, you owe it to yourself to have an attorney who knows all of the laws and their changes - like Lynnwood DUI Attorney Jonathan Dichter. Call for your FREE CONSULTATION at 425-424-9401.
